IYKYK DAO MEMBERSHIP DESCRIPTION

Joining IYKYK DAO means becoming part of a decentralized creative collective rooted in cultural production, collaboration, and public good activation. Membership is available through our Multipass platform and is open to anyone who aligns with our values and vision.

WHAT MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES

Access to members-only DAO events, gatherings, and forums

Exclusive access to VIP experiences or 25% off VIP ticket tiers for select events, gatherings, and forums

Early or discounted entry to public events, art shows, concerts, and pop-ups

Eligibility for contributor recognition, future NFT drops, and token-gated voting (once launched)

A voice in shaping the direction of IYKYK DAO’s projects, grants, and cultural priorities

Priority access to apply for micro grants and residencies (beginning in Phase 2)

CONTRIBUTION STRUCTURE
Members contribute $10/month via Multipass. This recurring support:

Helps fund cultural productions and creative opportunities

Seeds the DAO’s shared treasury

Grants members early-stage influence while the DAO governance stack is being built

MEMBERSHIP PHASE
We are in our pre-token, pre-NFT phase. This means:

Membership does not currently offer on-chain rights or assets

Members will receive retroactive recognition or exclusive incentives once the DAO fully transitions to on-chain governance

1. Joining IYKYK DAO
We are in our community launch phase. To join:

• Become a member on Multipass, which enrolls you in a $10/month contribution plan, and protects the DAO from liability.
• Join the IYKYK Discord and select a community role to get access to coordination channels and project threads.
• Attend an IYKYK event in person and claim a POAP (Proof of Attendance Protocol) to verify your engagement.

Your membership helps fund cultural productions, festivals, and events. Profits from these productions are used to launch the DAO auction and seed the DAO treasury. Once the DAO is live, the monthly membership fee will be retired.

This is a short-term funding solution designed to empower community-driven infrastructure. Members will be compensated in the future with exclusive incentives tied to each month of membership they contributed during this early launch phase.

No crypto wallet is required to join during this phase.
2. Mission Statement
IYKYK DAO is a creative collective and community-owned cultural platform dedicated to amplifying underrepresented artists, curators, performers, designers, and event producers in Denver and beyond. We aim to build a radically inclusive, collaborative infrastructure where creatives thrive — with or without traditional gatekeepers.

In our first year, IYKYK functions as a people-powered arts incubator. Through immersive events, collaborative storytelling, and marketing campaigns, we lay the groundwork for a fully decentralized, blockchain-enabled DAO that rewards participation and redistributes cultural capital.
3. Community-First Foundations
A. Cultural Events and Experiences

• We produce a wide range of gatherings including art festivals, concerts, private parties, fashion showcases, and community rituals.
• Events are participatory and include live performances, installations, vendor markets, and emerging tech demos.
• These serve as the IRL testbed for future on-chain tools and tokenized governance.

B. Collaborative Infrastructure
• Volunteers and contributors co-create events, media, and experiences.
• We prototype how shared ownership can look and feel — before smart contracts are introduced.
• Value creation is acknowledged and rewarded through recognition, visibility, and contributor incentives.

4. Transition to DAO: Year One Roadmap
The transition to DAO will unfold in three key phases. Each phase is designed to build toward a fully decentralized, community-governed organization with a shared treasury, cultural programming, and transparent funding flows.

Phase Zero (Now – Month 6)
Community Activation & Event Infrastructure
• Host 6–12 cultural events, including art festivals, concerts, private parties, and experimental gatherings
• Grow the Discord and contributor network
• Develop sponsor relationships and early partnerships
• Begin documentation of contributor impact and POAP claims
• Gather feedback on reward systems, contributor roles, and participation models

Phase One (Month 6–12)
DAO Launch: City Nouns Denver Chapter
• Launch the Denver Chapter of City Nouns with a 1-per-day NFT auction
• Establish governance of a shared treasury using city-specific art and member-led proposals
• Roll out on-chain tools (e.g. Snapshot, Juicebox, POAP integrations)
• Distribute founding NFTs for stewards and contributors
• Transition early participants into governance roles and experiment with proposals for funding events, content, and growth

Phase Two (Post Month 12)
Public Goods Activation: Grants & Residencies
• Deploy the IYKYK Micro Grant Program to fund emerging creative and cultural projects
• Launch the IYKYK Residency Program to support immersive works through stipends, mentorship, and infrastructure
• Retire the temporary membership dues model
• Compensate early members with exclusive incentives for each month of their pre-launch support
• Expand partnership models for cross-DAO and institutional collaborations

5. Governance Status
Current Decision-Making

• Decisions are made through Discord polls, contributor meetings, and transparent public threads.
• An interim steward group coordinates logistics, communication, and budgeting.
• Anyone can propose content, partnerships, or events by submitting to the collective via Discord or email.

Values-Based Governance
Until blockchain tooling is live, we use community consensus, guided by these values:
• Transparency: Decisions are made in public, with open logs and summaries.
• Access: We prioritize the inclusion of artists and communities historically excluded from cultural production.
• Contribution > Capital: Early influence is based on time and value contributed, not money invested.

By registering as a member of IYKYK DAO through Multipass and/or attending any IYKYK event, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Voluntary Participation
Participation in IYKYK DAO events, productions, or community initiatives is entirely voluntary. Attendance at any event is at your own risk.

2. No Legal Rights or Ownership
Membership in IYKYK DAO does not constitute legal ownership, equity, or employment. Membership is a voluntary affiliation with a decentralized creative collective and does not entitle you to governance rights unless explicitly granted through future token- or NFT-based systems.

3. Event Liability
IYKYK DAO and its organizing contributors are not responsible for personal injury, lost property, or damages incurred at events. We recommend participants follow all safety guidelines and use common sense during public or private gatherings.

4. Media Use Consent
By attending an IYKYK event, you consent to the use of your likeness, voice, or performance in any photos, videos, or other media captured during the event for promotional, archival, and community use, unless you request otherwise in writing prior to or at the event.

5. Subject to Change
This disclaimer and the terms of participation may be updated as the DAO evolves. Continued involvement constitutes acceptance of any future changes.

IYKYK DAO Community Rules & Expectations

1. Respect the Vibe.
We are building a space rooted in mutual respect, self-expression, and radical inclusion. Come as you are—and let others do the same.

2. Contribution Over Clout.
We recognize value in all forms. Whether you’re showing up, sharing ideas, helping lift chairs, or dropping wisdom in a thread—it matters. What you give is what you grow.

3. One Mic, Many Voices.
Hold space. Listen fully. Amplify those who often go unheard. We’re not here to dominate—we’re here to build resonance.

4. No Harm, No Hype.
We don’t tolerate harassment, discrimination, coercion, or manipulation. This includes IRL events, online discussions, and DMs. Hype is fun—but not at the expense of safety.

5. This Is Not a Marketplace.
You’re more than your brand. Avoid shilling, spamming, or using the space only for self-promotion. Build trust first, collaborate second, promote third.

6. IRL Etiquette Applies.
Consent, boundaries, and situational awareness matter. Whether you’re at an event, in a group chat, or on stage—be human, be humble, be here.
